Hard landscaping should be designed to work seamlessly with the requirements of your garden. Selecting the correct stone and achieving the right finish are key to creating a durable, attractive, and practical outdoor space. Drawing on my experience, I can recommend methods and materials that not only enhance the appearance of your garden but also make ongoing maintenance straightforward and manageable.
When it comes to design, almost anything is possible. To help clients visualise ideas and concepts, I can provide hand-drawn pencil and watercolour illustrations, bringing creative designs to life before work begins.
At Helpston Masonry, landscaping extends far beyond stonework, blockwork, and foundations. Previous projects have incorporated a wide range of materials and features, including:
- Reclaimed timber sleepers for raised beds
- New timber sleepers for retaining walls, complete with membrane installation
- Scaffolding pole and scaffold plank jetties
- Mixed-media garden sculptures
- Oak gate post installations
- Well reconstruction
- Pond lining installation
- Corten steel edging installation
- Membrane and gravel laying
- Reclaimed brick pathways laid in a herringbone pattern
- Reclaimed brick sunken fire pits
- Granite cobble laying and pointing
- Ornate garden bird baths
- Children's den building and garden features
In 2024, I was invited to exhibit one of my mixed-media landscape sculptures at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The sculpture, titled Blossom, showcased my passion for combining traditional craftsmanship with creative landscape design.
